I have been a member of the GCF since 1990 and was on the board for many years before taking over the operational management of the club in 2022. Prior to that, I worked at GolfRange for 19 years, where I learnt how to run golf courses professionally.

Joining The Leading Golf Courses has been a declared management goal for Föhrenwald Golf Club for several years. In order to achieve this, we have had to turn a lot of small screws that are not usually in the spotlight. The membership tests were a great challenge and we passed the hurdle at the first attempt. This is like an award and a confirmation of the work we have done.

The anonymous quality checks greatly improve our facility for members and guests. It motivates everyone, from the greenkeepers to the housekeepers, and we are delighted to receive positive or constructive feedback. The management has a control tool in its hands and receives valuable input for continuous quality improvement. This, together with the Leading Card, is a significant added value for our members.

The Leading Golf Course label is sure to attract even more guests who enjoy the mix of tradition and innovation. Sportsmanship and hospitality have been our credo since our founding in 1968.
