I like our course for several reasons. One is the scenery and the variety of holes, both flat and uphill. Then there is the fact that each hole is a masterpiece of design. No wonder - after all, they bear the signature of Jack Nicklaus as the designer! Last year there were also some very interesting changes to the layout, which means that you now finish your round in front of the clubhouse. 

No two holes are the same and if you play here often, you might find yourself starting your round from a different tee: Sometimes further back, sometimes further forward - the course plays completely differently. It's not just about one or two irons more or less, it's about the challenge and fun of managing the course!

The facilities are also worthy of mention - from the clubhouse to the pro shop to the restaurant, where a new operator has brought a breath of fresh air. This combination of breathtaking scenery, challenging design, top course maintenance and first class facilities makes Gut Altentann a perfect Leading Golf Course quality golfing experience for me.
